About SOLE

SOLE Theatre is a performing arts company founded in April 2022 by artistic director Jocelyn LoSole, and consists of  hands-on performance training, exclusively focused on the foundations of acting.

Jocelyn LoSole trained at the Randolph College for the Performing Arts in Toronto where she graduated in 2017 with a diploma in Musical Theatre. Her hard work at Randolph resulted in the college faculty nominating her for the prestigious “Triple Threat” Award at year’s end.

Jocelyn then moved to Glasgow and attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she received a Master's Degree in Musical Theatre Performance. For her graduating show, she was cast in the role of  Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde the Musical, which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in August of  2019.

While in Glasgow, Jocelyn signed with Coulter Hamilton Rae talent agency and spent 2020 and 2021 (despite the obstacles) working in theatre, short film, feature film and voice over work.

Jocelyn currently resides in Belleville and is excited to be the resident acting coach for all SOLE acting classes.

“Jocelyn offers a stress-free, fun way to step out of your comfort zone for experienced actors or never-done-it-before-but-think-I'd like-to-try-actors to be. If you have an inner actor longing to be free, this is the course for you!”

"Jocelyn is a great acting teacher. She's sincerely committed, highly energetic and very supportive. She has the unusual ability to work with both experienced and inexperienced actors, even in the same class. And she's fun to work with!"

"Jocelyn got us to a new level of performance that I hadn't seen before. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easily she got us to get out of our own way and give more. Her energy and passion for stage craft is infectious."

- Gerry

(Workshop attendee)

"What drew me first was the impressive qualifications and experience of the Artistic Director, Jocelyn LoSole. Jocelyn’s passion for the art of performing is contagious and attending these classes has soon become the highlight of my week!”
